The Stella team is small, friendly and passionate about literature and feminism. We are currently recruiting for an Executive Director to lead our highly successful organisation, build its national profile and expand relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate must have a track record in fundraising and partnership development at a high level. This person will attract grants from trusts and foundations, private support from individual donors, and a range of sponsorship arrangements with both new and established corporate partners.
Stella is looking for a self-starter who can work with a small, energetic team, provide inspirational leadership, and take responsibility for the reputational, operational and financial management of the organisation. They will have a commitment to equality in all forms, a love of books and ideas, and a talent for creative problem solving.

The Stella office is currently located in the Nicholas Building in Melbourne’s CBD.
As a small not-for-profit organisation, all staff are expected to pitch in and help during busy periods and attendance (and assistance) at several events held outside normal business hours is also expected.
